Our research on using gold nanoparticles for DNA-melting emerged into the foundation of a company: GNA Biosolutions. They are now providing an ultrafast corona test in 15 minutes:

It all goes back to the PhD-thesis of Joachim Stehr, now leading the company together with another alumnus Federico Bürsgens:
